It’s Street Team Time!

PrintUPDATE: Check out the new prize below!

The holidays are coming, and you know what that means? (Besides all the food and shopping and THOSE SONGS on the radio.) It’s time for the Evil Hat Street Team! If you missed it last year, the premise is simple: we like you. We get a huge kick every time we see you talk about your latest Fate gaming session or the awesome hack you came up with. We’re fully aware that without you, we wouldn’t be here.

The Street Team is our way of saying thanks for the things you normally do.

You complete your choice of the tasks listed below. Some are easier; some are harder. You pick whatever appeals to you. And here’s the best part—if you’ve already completed a task, it counts so long as you did it in 2014. Of course we’d love to see a new review (or whatever) if you have time, but not everyone does at this time of year.

Task 1 – Link to this blog post somewhere online! Tweet it, FB it, G+ it, put it on your blog or tumblr or post it in a forum. This one’s easy—all you have to do is give us the link to your tweet, FB, etc.

Task 2 – Post a game recap/play report for any Evil Hat RPG or board game. Again, this can go anywhere online. Talk about one of your gaming sessions, what worked, what didn’t, and give people a taste of what it’s like to play it. Again, all you have to do is provide us with a link.

Task 3 – Print out this flyer that talks about our free PDF guarantee, take it to your local gaming store or club, and ask them to post it. You can check this off regardless of what they choose to do—don’t pressure our FLGSs! Last year, the pictures were problematic for some people, so we’re not requiring them this year (although we’d love to see one if it’s convenient for you). Instead, we’d like to know what gaming store you delivered it to. One lucky store will receive a holiday gift from us on your behalf.

Task 4 – Download one of our Patreon worlds and adventures (they’re PWYW at DriveThruRPG) and talk online about your purchase experience and overall satisfaction with the product. This can be by rating it at DriveThruRPG, posting on a forum, or telling us on Facebook. Give us a link to your comments.

Task 5 – Review an Evil Hat product that is NOT a Patreon world or adventure at DriveThruRPG or Amazon. Be honest! Although we hope you love our stuff, we want to know what you really think! Give us a link to the review so we can check it out. Again, it must be posted at DriveThruRPG or Amazon to count.

Every task you complete gets you one entry into the grand prize drawing. Here’s what you could win:

One grand prize – A one-hour one-on-one Skype or live Hangout talk with a member of the Evil Hat “Head.” Your choice! You could:

  • Discuss your campaign and system hack ideas with Fred or Rob
  • Get Kickstarter advice from Fred
  • Show your art portfolio to Fred and get his feedback
  • Learn about being a Project Manager from Sean
  • Get the inside scoop on running a con from Sean
  • Take an inside look at developing new gaming products with Chris
  • Learn about running a gaming store with Chris
  • Learn about writing for games or fiction with Carrie
  • Get some marketing ideas for your games or books with Carrie

Two second-place prizes – A gaming prize pack, including an early copy of Monster of the Week, Fate dice, the new Secrets of Cats print edition, Fate bookmarks, and more!

Even if you don’t win, there’s still a reason to enter! By completing at least one task, you’ll receive an exclusive preview of some of our early 2015 releases, including a sneak peek at the cards in our next board game and a piece of Monster of the Week awesomeness. This preview won’t be available to anyone else—just our Street Teamers. Because you’re awesome.

UPDATE: All participants will also get a copy of Issue 2 of the Fate Codex, courtesy of Fate family member Mark Diaz Truman. This resource is packed with goodies by awesome Fately people like Ryan Macklin and Quinn Murphy. Learn more about the Fate Codex here!
