Hi! Will there be an official Fate Core forum?
The Yahoo Group Fate discussion group is kind of old, not so much user friendly and… well, is a bit ugly!
Thanks!
We don’t have plans for one yet. That may change!
I’m pledging from outside the US.
The $30 reward says to pledge $10 extra for shipping & handling and to pledge $25 for each extra copy I want. Do I need to pay the extra $10 once or for every copy?
That’s covered in the big blue box on the front page, but you’re only charged once per shipment.
Do you have a rough estimate of the release date for Fate Core?
As noted during the Kickstarter, we’re targeting April-ish.
That’s awesome! Just one more question, I missed the boat on the kickstarter campaign (my friend literally told me about the fate system yesterday.) so is there anyway for me to donate and get in on the early access pdf still, or has that window closed?
Considering the success of the Kickstarter, it might be an idea to consider setting up a forum. 🙂
We did, ten years ago! The FateRPG group on yahoo groups is going strong. And over on Google+, the Fate Core community (new) is working great. No need for us to run processor-intensive security-risky software. 🙂
I’ve been lurking on the Yahoo Group for who knows how long, though I rarely check my Yahoo groups these days. However, I do use Google+ regularly so thanks for the heads up about the Community.
Is there any way to get a copy of the early Fate Core PDF now that the Kickstarter is over with?
Not currently, but we’re getting significantly closer to publication, and a revised draft is going out to the backers soon. If you get in on a play-group with one of the backers, they’re allowed to share with their players…
I can’t wait for Fate Core to be released!
Sadly I didn’t notice the crowd sourcing after it was finished.
Is there any rough/approximate d-day for this gem?
Hoping to make it all happen inside of the next couple months.
I can’t wait to see this. I’ve been using Dresden and Strands as guidelines for my FATE games. Didn’t get to be a backer, so I’ll just have to hunt for a place to preorder. But everything I’ve heard in the video on the Fate sight has made me really enthusiastic!
I backed the kickstarter, but not being very familiar with the fate system,I only decided to go for the Physical version of the core book. After reading through the drafts though, I have fallen completely in love with the system! It just fits my preferences so perfectly, and you’ve really done a great job on it. I can’t remember the last time a game or game system has inspired me this much, and I’m in the works on converting all my other RPG setting into Fate.
However, I didn’t get the chance to convert my pdf versions of the stretch goal rewards (Fate System Toolkit, Fate Worlds Compilation etc.)to physical books during the kickstarter, and I was wondering if all the products available from the kickstarter will be available for purchase later, as physical books, or if some of the stretch goal rewards were exclusive to the kickstarter. Keep up the good work.
No exclusives! We’ll have them for sale, here, when published.
Is the book size the same as Spirit of the Century? I rather like that format.
Same page size, but hardcover and with only ~300 pages instead of ~400. 🙂
I’m Throwing money at the screen and nothing is happening.
