Any word on the release of Atomic Robo?
Adam Jury (the graphic designer doing layout) just gave me a report today that he’s down to finishing off the last hundred pages. After that it goes to proofing by the various authorities and then to print!
IT’S IN LAYOUT!
What Mike said. 🙂
Obligatory follow-up question, sooo… when are we seeing it?
It’s not even two weeks later from Sean’s comment. 🙂 We won’t start giving a release date until we have a finished layout.
Haha gotcha Fred, just letting you guys know that some nerd out there still has massive interest in it (although given how vocal people are, I’m sure you already know that). Thanks for the response!
Well… since it’s march 2014 I suppose we could expect a launch very soon ?
Adam Jury continues to work on layout. Soon as he’s done we’ll ship it off for indexing. Once that’s done and incorporated, we’ll get the print manufacture stage started. When we’re at that point, we’ll be able to give a release date. Not before.
Any update guys?
Yep, planning to ship and have in stores in June!
Some more info here: http://spiritoftheblank.blogspot.com/2014/03/atomic-robo-coming-this-spring.html
And, uh, elsewhere on this very website, I’m sure.
Will pre-orders be available? Puh-puh-puh-leeeeeeez?!?
YES! Very soon!
YAY!!! *Kermit arm wave*
Ahem. I mean, I look forward to the opportunity to purchase this fine product.
*squee*
Ahem!
Hey Fred you going to make a G+ community for Atomic Robo RPG
Are you considering selling just the PDF? I’m from outside US and the shipping cost is very high for me (almost the book price)! But I want to read the book!!! What can I do?
Thanks and great job!
Hi Danilo,
Yep, check out http://www.evilhat.com/home/atomic-robo-preorder-day-two-retailer-flyer-corrections-pdf-release-plans/ for our PDF plan!
So now that you’re done here, please get a license for Hellboy and get to work! =)
Hi Joe,
Check out the Fate Core G+ community. Some Robo discussions going on over there. https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/117231873544673522940
Hi, thanks to everyone who worked on the Atomic Robo RPG, the PDF is awesome and the writing really captures the feel of the comic. There’s a small review on my blog and I’ve made a french version of the character and faction sheets as well.
I look forward to punching monsters in the name of science!
I felt it necessary to echo the Hellboy license sentiment! Or BPRD! Both would be likely my dream game.
Hi Zombiekid and CEBedford, should Dark Horse come to us with a license offer, we’d look at it, but otherwise we’ll be developing our existing lines (Spirit of the Century, Dresden Files, Atomic Robo, Don’t Rest Your Head, etc).
I’ve been enjoying the PDF since it was released for public consumption, but I just wanted to say that the physical book (I bought it yesterday) is amazing! Tremendously high quality stuff.
Just today I bought the hardcopy of Atomic Robo and thoroughly enjoyed it, can’t wait to share it with the other members of our gaming group, I can easily see us playing it.
keep up the good work
Any chance on a downloadable printer friendly quick reference sheet like what the dresden files recieved?
Hi John, Chance are good a fan creation will pop up. If it does, we’ll be sure to add it to our downloads page.
Uh… maybe! What kinda stuff would you want on there?
To Mike Olson:
I am interested in the basics. A discussion of modes, super stunts, brainstorming and inventing. That kind of stuff.
Hey Guys. working my way through the manual. has anyone done a play through video yet? This is my first foray into rpg’s so I am looking for some info on how to play.
Video? Not that I’m aware of, but I ran Google Hangout games for two podcasts recently, and those should be available soon. Hopefully they’ll serve as good examples of play!
