So Why IPR, and not Distribution?

The thing to understand where we’re concerned is that Evil Hat is a small-press company and many of its products are printed up in small-size print runs. This means that our cost per unit is a bit higher than the bigger guys, and as a result, most of our products can’t sell at their current price and make any money going through distribution.

For Evil Hat Productions, Indie Press Revolution bridges that gap and gets our products straight to you. By selling our products to retailers through IPR, we keep our costs down and our revenues much higher than they would be with distribution — all without putting the burden on you or your customers. Our products stay reasonably priced, your customers stay happy, and we all win.

That’s not to say we won’t consider distribution in the future for some of our products, but for great games like Don’t Rest Your Head and Spirit of the Century, IPR is the way to go.
