One way Luccio could fob off the item costs is by “binding” Warden Swords to their owners: Either by way of a ritual or some material component used in the crafting, like a drop of blood. There’s several traditions’ worth of this in the real world and fantasy. Not sure whether someone could use the sword against the owner but that’s the GM’s call. They don’t – a focused practitioner build (as in, someone who literally only does crafting and nothing else) could push this even further. The poster I was replying to explicitly stated that the player in question still wanted the full range of wizardly capability. But yeah, if you really just want to have all your eggs in one basket, Ritual (Crafting) and Refinement for more slots can let you push this even further, without buying all the other wizardly stuff.
